Eton Mess

Not as messy as you might think...
Serves 3-4
Ingredients
1 punnet strawberries, cut into four
8 meringue nests, crushed
500ml double cream
Method
Beat the double cream in a bowl until it is thick and doesn't run out when you tilt the bowl at an angle.
Place the 2 meringue nests in each bowls, spoon some of the whipped cream on top of the nests and then add the strawberries.
Leftovers
The whipped cream doesn't keep very well so try to use it all up in one sitting or only beat some of the double cream one day and the rest the following day.
Things to try
Instead of just using strawberries, use rasberries as well.
Blend some of the strawberries in a blender into a puree to use as a sauce.
Add 200g greek-style yoghurt to the whipped cream.
